Just as a matter of interest, my wife had been having knee problems for a year or so - so went private to see specialist after usual NHS fob offs with arthritis comments.  Guy x rayed her knee - steroid injection which helped for 3 months - but comment was - new knee sooner or later due to wear and tear bone 0n bone pain - which she dreaded having only ever been laid up once - triple heart by-pass.

Our youngest daughter ( degree prescriber nurse) commented she'd had good reports from a gym fitness teacher who had a similar problem - but opted for private cell regeneration treatment - a German pioneered system - not widely available in UK - but possible.  Had the treatment and was back doing gym classes after 6 months.  Our daughter spoke to the co. - based in Stamford Lincs and we decided it sounded real enough to give it a go.  Cost was

Must confess guys I was sceptical at first and read up on it - finding of course a quackery jibe from a UK surgeon as one negative - but then he would wouldn't he - affects his 'trade'.  A lot of positive reports from many people who have been treated - but note whilst the succcess rate is given as fairly high - not 100%.  For the relatively low cost involved - versus the alternative surgery option with pain / recovery time - and with knees restricted use - i.e you cannot kneel down again ! - well worth a shot.  Stamford clinic negotiating with football league teams apparently as part of their private health insurance scheme for players

Just learned there is a 3rd uk clinic for mbst at Potters Bar.  Son in law is trying the Camberleg one cor hip problem and tells his treatment will be at home (Sunbury on Thames) using a portable machine

Son in law just completed his home use of mbst machine and already feels less pain in hip when in bed

The effects are gradual over a period of 3 to 10 weeks as the cells regenerate in the affected joints.

It's good to hear about anyone getting better but can MBST therapy really lead to cell regeneration? One surgeon didn't think so and he complained to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) about another company offering MBST,. The judgment was as follows. The ASA "told Cell Regeneration Ltd to avoid making claims that MBST could treat or cure conditions in the absence of suitable evidence and to not falsely claim that the treatment could cure disease",

I saw a programme last week on a japanese Surgeon who has been working with stem cell technology for some time and he appears to be very successful using DNA from the patients spine to inject into the knee to repair cartilage.


In my opinion the Medical Profession do not communicate as well  as say the aircraft industry ie mistakes, progress, and innovation.

Noel Fitzpatrick (supervet) said he wishes Surgeons would come and talk to him as he feels they could learn from the stuff he is doing and vice versa.

Historically pioneering medical practitioners has often been snubbed and held back by Dinasoars not wishing to move on.
