Thanks. I'm a bit anxious. Just showered with anti-bacterial soap and off to bed for my last sleep with my 58 year old hip joint. I have my fasting instructions, need to shower again mid morning and hospital admission is at 1.00 pm AEST.  In less than 24 hours I'll be a little bit less of me and probably not feeling very good.  I'm being told I won't regret it and I really hope that's the case having been in constant pain for a while now.

I hope your only problem out of it is making an alarming racket every time you go through airport security use the rest time to create a dish called Chicken Thightanium

I made it.  Probably just under 3 hours I think. I've seen the xray and it looks a bit different to the ones I brought in with me.  The spinal block and other stuff kept me pain free but legless for a few hours but that has now worn off.  Now the physio, exercise and recovery begin.  Not too much pain yet but I believe day 2 is usually the worst.

Anyway, I'm ok. Thanks for your kind words of support.
