I've just picked up a hardback copy of this from Poundland in Bath usual price

Wow, going to look in ours to go with my 'collection' of currry books. I've got loads of them and to be honest, I tend to go back again and again to the same old tried and tested recipes, certainly a lot on here and then look others up on the internet, , print them off in large font so that I can read them as I cook.. Anyone else do this?

Failed to find a copy locally, so ended up ordering one from Abebooks.  Not too impressed -- too "fusion"-oriented for me, and seemingly no mention of something as fundamental as bhuna  Also not at all impressed with the typography -- whilst the swirls and curlicues look ok in colour and at the large sizes used on the front cover, when used in monochrome for the for the A-heads, and even more when used for the B-heads within the running text, they just create the impression of font breakup or smudging.  What do others who have bought it think ?

I agree with your points, but for a quid I'll cut out the recipes I like and recycle the rest.

A good british Indian celebrity Chef
I like the way he assumes his readers can basically cook to start with.
I also like the believable anecdotes, which accompany each recipe.

This book is well put together with inspirational recipes and
spice combinations from famously a Fusion British Indian Chef.
Along with Atul Kochhar are at the top of their game.

If you can get this book for a quid, its winner winner chicken tikka dinner.

Mr Singh apparently loves his Tandor Oven and admits he could not operate
his restaurants without them.

We go to the Cinnamon Kitchen two or three times a year and tend to buy his books in the restaurant as they are released. When my wife finished her cancer treatment we celebrated in there with a meal and a bottle of bubbly. The waitress asked what we were celebrating and got a little emotional when we told her.
The next thing we knew was that Vivek was standing next to us and thanked us for celebrating such an occasion. I bought his latest book at the time (Indian festival feasts) which he autographed and after learning of my wife
