Chicken Dhansak
« on: January 22, 2016, 07:53 PM »
Chewytikkas Dhansak recipe, simple bir flavours and cooking like it should be. Truely an excellent curry.
I added chicken instead of prawns, no butternut squash and some pineapple slice as recommended.
The pineapple cut through the sweet and sour making a moreish delicious true bir curry.

That looks very BIR MA and very tasty.  It's getting me right in the mood for the remains of my TA vindaloo from the other night  :P .  That reminds me, I must post a little report on my 2nd trip to Vindaloo, jb's second home  ;D ;D

Cheers  :)

Really enjoyed this last night, it made a real change to the usual fayre, and it was extremely tasty.
Not as hot as Im used too, but it didnt need to be as it was perfect at that heat :)

Unfortunately I have to cook this again tonight for Mrs Ma , the cheeky moo sneaked some of mine last night and really really liked it.

So Gav looks like I'll be knocking one out again tonight  ;) ;D

Highly recommend watching and cooking chewy's Dhansak , perfect curry cooking.

Keep things simple

MA,

I'm glad you went with Chewy's recipe as it's the one I use and Dhansak is my go to curry, yours looks really nice and I could steam into it, I don't like pinapple in mine, it seem like a regional thing as in the South East curry houses don't use it but up North they do.

London.
