Kriss Dillon

I followed Kris Dillon's instructions to make a lamb vindaloo (he suggests beef in his New Curry Recipie book) and it was amazingly good - got to be one of the best cook books on the market!

To some people Kris is a starting point
To others it's an end
Controversial
Very glad you got a good result
I have three versions of her book
Which one is this?
What's the cover look like, or can you post a link for it?

No, the series has changed over time.  In the first edition (the one I prefer), measurements were in Imperial; in a later edition, they moved to metric; and in the most recent, Kris has espoused so-called "healthy eating", with (e.g.,) olive oil replacing vegetable oil.  The base has also been modified over time.

Olive oil?!  -have you tried that? I would expect it to add an extra flavour (however good the end result might be!).

No, I avoid so-called "healthy eating" on principle :)

From memory (I will have to go downstairs to check), it is typeset in a pseudo-Indian-style script, dated 1989, and printed by a publishing house with a short name based in Surrey.  More when I have checked.

Yes, script correct, illustration shews garlic, spices and chillies left, plate of curry right, publisher "Elliot Right Way", price
