Woburn Tandoori, London

Just back from a trip to the big city and wanted to share this one.
Stumbled across this little gem by total accident, but glad I did:
A tiny little place which seats only 28, so has a very intimate atmosphere. The waiters were very pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I think I may have been converted to Bangladeshi cuisine. It was so good, I dragged Mrs G back two nights later.
I had lamb on both occasions and Mrs G had chicken; both cooked to perfection. Here are a few pics - the last two are a bit crap as I took them on my phone:
Lamb Madras and CTM
Rice and Naan
Madras on its own
Achari Lamb and Butter Chicken
Tarka Dal and Naan
Apart from the dodgy chips, it was a winner for me

I bet you both enjoyed it Garp! You cannot beat these small cozy little curry houses especially if the food is good! Looks like decent size portion

You're spot-on, Bob. It's especially good when you don't really have great expectations but are blown away by the food

Although that was 2012, Bob, and I believe it has changed ownership since then.
But I'm still alive, and so is Mrs G (as far as I can tell)

Yup, it's a pretty decent BIR. Portions are on the small side, The restaurant is a little small and 'romantic' and off the beaten path, not too far form kings cross st. pancras.
We booked a table for 5, but there were only 4 people in the restaurant the entire time. It's indeed a little gem. Everything I tried was nice, perhaps the small remark is that I'm used to fresh tandoori food and this was the typical reheated pieces of tikka, etc. All in all, I'd eat here again.

Visited again last Saturday. I think they have put a couple more tables through the back, increasing the capacity to over 35
The food, as previously, was very very nice. Achari Lamb had lots of pickle flavour and a smoky taste, which was superb. Rice was very fragrant and the naans were nice and puffy.
It's a reasonably priced little BIR for London and I only have two slight criticisms:
1/ The portion sizes have decreased since my last visit, and may be a little meagre for some,
2/ The manager was in a bit of a hurry to get us out the door after we had (just) finished our meal, due to the fact that he had told another couple of parties to come back later for a table.
