What's a chef spoon?

In the home kitchen, where most normal people don't have large plastic tubs of spices, it has no practical benefit to your cooking and is favoured by the more pretentious, or easily persuaded.

Oh God, please don't let me agree with Garp.  PLEASE .....  No good, can't help it, agree with every word he says (but only in this context, of course).

I've used a chefs spoon for probably about the last 20 years (or a wooden spatula in non-stick) and long before I ever started cooking BIR. I feel a bit ashamed now, I'll start using a teaspoon instead.  ::)

Looking back I was probably easily persuaded as I was giving my first one for free. I daren't mention any of my other cheffy stuff.
