Hi everyone .As the subject says I live and own an Indian restaurant in Thailand.
May sound a bit strange but there are loads of expats and tourist's craving good Indian food out here as most of the Indian places are not very good.
I have been a chef for 35 years and have done few stints in Indian ressies in the UK but that was 17 years ago so I find your site invaluable to keep up with the latest cooking techniques and recipes.

I lived in Phuket for 8 years but moved over to a beach called Thung Wua Laen in Chumphon 3 years ago when Phuket turned to s**t.
I have a place right on the beach called the Curry Shack.Check it out on Google maps and TA.Beautiful beach

Hi.i try to keep the recipes as close as possible to the BIR taste.
The only one I have had to adapt is the Tikka Masala as it is hard to find the Pataks pastes here and if you do find them they cost an arm and a leg.

Ah, I'm glad you said that.  Herself & I stayed in Phuket for a couple of days recently, and I did get the occasional feeling that this was not "real" Thailand at all, but rather a slightly more upmarket island version of Pataya ...  Still, I did enjoy watching the monkeys.
