Rule 7, Terms and Conditions.

7.  You will not reproduce or disseminate any material found on this Forum, on any other Forum, or on any other media without the written permission of the Owner of this Forum

That should be clear enough to anyone including members from other sites.

I agree wholeheartedly les. However I have never seen any info from here copied over to there. I may be wrong.

In all honesty i have found this site CRO to be the best on the net - for info - and the bunch on here are OK  some very good chefs and some very enthusiastic cooks.

As far as senior members of RCR keep checking in here on CRO - you will find that those members are members here also and dont post anymore - for their own personal reasons to which i have been privy to knowing and respect that. They have made a considerable impact in the world of bir and 3 forums to which I have been and still are a member of........

There has been many a word spoken.... which should not deviate from the knowledge gained for all over the years.

Lets hope they keep checking in and eventually return to post on this site -

best, Rich

Agreed Rich, and some others refrain from posting  ::)

I like Daveyham's pub analogy. I don't know about you, but my bookmarks bar is bristling with sites and if I tried to visit them all regularly I would turn into vegetable matter. I'm more likely to visit sites that are busy, and RCR has suffered a recent downturn in that respect. I think the monthly password reset had a lot to do with it, but that has been fixed and it now rotates on a twice-yearly basis, so time will tell whether the active membership picks up.
Personally, I visit the sites for different reasons: I view this site as a trail-blazing R&D lab where there is a lot of passion and opinion; RCR has more of a reference function. I can't comment about the rights and wrongs of who should be publishing what because I just don't know.
In my opinion both sites are good.
Any website will eventually die if it isn't monetized. This site and RCR employ different models, but surely that just gives us more choice? We can choose to browse for free with ads, or pay a sub. No-one is forced to belong to either site, after all.
Cheers,
Tim

I see forums like pubs, you pop in have a pint. You may go for months drinking in your favourite pubs and never talk to anyone, is that a problem?

It is if the landlords name is Les Jones.  ;)

Ok maybe I was a little forward but after the Chukit, Bruce , Mike Hunt, Aussie Mick attempts to de-rail and troll this forum, when somebody else starts posting about other forums I become sceptical. As for members who used to contribute a lot and now just voyeur, I don't know their reasons why, but surely if you are still interested in and still log on to a forum daily you should at least contribute?

That's my point , everything he is against on his forum he is even more guilty of, double standards
