Seeing as the "other" site is just a baby in comparison to this one, in time, it will become the number 1 site for people serious about cooking BIR at home.

Probability - unlikely

The other forum owner simply wants a site that is as close to 100% BIR related info as is possible. It's beyond my comprehension why people can't see/appreciate that.

Really  :o :o  I think not - he wants  a little bit more than that mate.  It's as clear as day.  One only has to check in occasionally to see it.  You believe what you want to AM/BI.  Far too much bandwidth has been wasted here recently on the other site and its dictator  :-X

Well CH, I respect and admire you for what you have contributed.

Out of all the members of this forum, I have met 2 or 3 personally. I have a mutual respect for those fellas too.

Seeing as I live in Perth, Australia, and so does the owner of the "other" forum, I suppose it was a reality that we would eventually meet up.....and we did.

We now meet up for a curry and a chat and a beer with another forum member too a few times a year, and it's something I look forward to. Taking people at their typed comments is different to actually meeting and conversing with a "real" person.

The owner of the "other" forum is one of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet, and I regard him as a friend. I admire him for the contribution he has made, and continues to make to the BIR cause. Yes, he is passionate about BIR and in sharing his knowledge and he doesn't suffer fools lightly. But to be labelled as a "dictator" is un-called for is is extremely unfair. Do you know him? have you met the guy? If you have and you have formed that opinion, well, i would have to accept it as just that...............your opinion. I, however, could not agree with your comments.

It sounded rather obnoxious behaviour.

Careful. As a lot of people here also have- his definition of obnoxious being different to sensible peoples. So ask your mate why it is acceptable to put photos of them on the internet :D
FYI, he is a hypocite. I was banned for repeatedly asking him why he (so-called) copyrighted all his recipes, but thought it was ok to C&P others from the web with no acknowledgment. Ask him how he justifies his thefts.

Well CH, I respect and admire you for what you have contributed.
Thank you, and I you, for your own achievements down under running your own BIR.

That is your right AM.  My best mate is a lovely bloke, a real diamond geezer if you forgive the speak  :) But put him behind the wheel of a car, and it's a serious case of Jeckel and Hyde.  I think you get my meaning  ;)
Enough said on this topic from me, back to what we're here for  :)  Other than:

Onions, ensure you get all your facts correct before posting.  CA is blamed for many things, he had nothing to do with that to which you refer with regard to the posting of pictures!!!
