Notwithstanding the crapness of the original idea, how come Stephen Lindsey not on the list?

Not withstanding the crapness of your observation.............he is  ;)

Well done on spelling his name right. One of us had to. Just testing! :)
No offence. Just that it was so similar to George's idea, it was unable to disassociate itself from that very crapness :D

i would like to say yet again this is PROBABLY THE BEST there is -

There is certainly a wealth of information on here Rich. For me, the problem is that sometimes (not all the time) you have to wade through a fair bit of junk to get to that information.

On the other site..............you don't.

Seeing as the "other" site is just a baby in comparison to this one, in time, it will become the number 1 site for people serious about cooking BIR at home.

I can see the appeal of this place, as you can have a laff, and get side- tracked with other stuff too, which is fine. The other forum owner simply wants a site that is as close to 100% BIR related info as is possible. It's beyond my comprehension why people can't see/appreciate that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the owner asks for NO donations, he has NO advertisng, stands for NO crap. He is passionate about forwarding the BIR cause for all who wish to benefit.

I have learned so much from this site, and when i went into my own BIR business, i freely shared all that I had learned, to try and give something back. Some of my posts were ridiculed, others were largely ignored. No problems with that, unless the ridiculers are people that have contributed absolutely NOTHING............and guess what...........most of them were of that ilk.  ::)

Sorry, didn't realise it was a spelling conscious site.

If Stephen takes offence because I spelt his name wrong, I offer my apologies. If it bothers you because I spelt somebodies name wrong, well frankly, I ain't bovvered.  ;)

Why should I care? If your great-greate-etc-grandad hadn't been a horse thief, you'd be one of us :D

...........some dont have a recipe posted anywhere but constantly post criticism about others which pulls this site down - i would like to say yet again this is PROBABLY THE BEST there is - all the others are OK but this has a wealth of knowledge and posts on from an assortment of folks new old - nearly forgotten - one stop wonders.... from way back to now

Still the best in my opinion

best, Rich
In total agreement Rich except i would lose the "probably"  ;)

"Guru"?  Me? Eh, no, just another poster like all those others who have gone before me, are here now and those who are yet to come, all who have, are and will continue to further the home BIR cause  :)

And just for the record before George goes off on one ........

his choice of moderators past and present has always been a bit questionable  ::)

My comment refers to George the moderator, not George the poster or person  ;)
