Hi, noobie question and most probably an obvious answer but what is meant by G or G/G paste?

Welcome!!!

G/G paste is garlic and ginger paste. Most people I think prefer to make their own by blending 50/50 or sometimes 60/40 garlic cloves to ginger root in water (or oil). Although it is readily available pre blended etc

Hi , here's a tip, I make mine separately with just enough water to cover the garlic or ginger,then blend and then freeze in ice cube trays. Once frozen i usually decant into freezer bags then pop back into the freezer.

You can also buy them ready frozen in blocks. They are great value for money.
