Alcohol beverage additions to curries are fairly popular in some restaurants; particularly up North I believe.  Tried a couple of recipes myself.  Been meaning to have a go at a Chilli Sambuca, served here in Birmingham at the tried (and tested) Bangla Lounge.  Signature dish on the menu, which also includes Malibu korma.  25 ml.  Nice!

I didn't wish to start an argument here! ;D

My original post was meant to be humorous with, as Phil picked up on, a hint toward cigarette ash possibly being a secret ingredient.  I guess I mis-titled the post as I am in no way suggesting that Advocaat is

Welcome to the forum Dann Zack.  with regards to the fag ash, we had a really bad cook at work and on making a cold rice dish for a salad one day, one of the lads commentated that it tasted like fag ash. Hey Chris, the lad the said, got any more of that regal rice? Regal rice, I like the sound of that for a name said the cook with us trying to stop our sides splitting. Happy days  :)
