Topic: Just got my Tandoor Oven

Thanks for all the advice.
I just want to get the caked on stuff off more than anything else really so i can start with a nice clean oven, hopefully any way.
What kind of basket do you have in the bottom of yours that the coals sit in?

sorry Frank have been away this week
my bowl of coals looks the same as yours
there is a gas ring at the bottom with a sort of tripod over this that the bowl sits on

What gas bottle would i need to use is it Propane or Butane?

You can use either or, but mostly people use propane. It burns hotter and is the orange bottle.
Check your fittings as well as they use different regulators.

I though butane was slightly hotter but is not good in low temperature. I use propane for my bbq mainly because the bottles slightly larger and I didn't have to pay a deposit on the bottle.
