Foil-sealed pack, labelled "Pilau Rice -- Cooked and Seasoned Pilau Rice".  Heat at full power for wo minutes in the microwave, then throw straight in the bin and cook yourself some proper pulau rice -- this version is just about as bad as it gets.

See what happens when you get drawn to the dark side Phil? It all starts innocently enough, a few teaspoons of kashmiri paste here, a dollop of tandoori paste there and before you know it you're paying good money in a race to the bottom of the BIR art.

It was on special offer, so worth a punt.  Last night I had no base, so tried Gazman's "Chicken Madras from scratch" and Patak's rice. Sadly I failed to experience gastronomic ecstacy while eating either.
