chicken tikka naga masala
« on: January 19, 2014, 06:25 PM »
Hi
Well I finally got my hands on a jar of Mr naga chilli pickle and could not wait to try it I have had Mr naga curries before so was really looking forward to it I decided to go for a masala style as I have been loving cbm's shashlick masala dish from his ebook. This did not disappoint the curry itself tasted fantastic and with fresh chilli and chilli powder along with the Mr naga had a good kick to it the flavour that the Mr naga gave to the dish was great. Like a div I never bother to write the recipe down as I cooked it but never mind and these pictures do not do it justice must invest in a decent camera.

And a saag aloo for the missus

That second one is a cracker, Jamie. Looks rich and spicy and altogether yummy.

I'm not good with my little Sony camera so take 3 or 4 pics on different settings and hope one works out :)

... must invest in a decent camera.

Nothing wrong with your camera, Jamie.  The image below (number 2 in your series) shows the quality of which it is capable.  The others look more like focussing error than camera shake -- does it have auto-focus, and if so, are you remembering to wait for the focus to lock before you fully depress the release button ?  Most auto-focus cameras require half-pressure on the release button to trigger the auto-focus to kick in, and you then have to wait for audio and/or visual feedback to tell you that focus has locked before you complete the button depression.

** Phil.

Looks very nice Jamie. I do all my photos on my phone sometimes doing a bit plate presentation to make the photo more appealing. These are always accompanied by a 'FFS you saddo' from the missus  :-\. I find that sometimes the steam from the plate ruins some photos by slight fogging up the lens. I'm going to take one with my Canon with my f2.8 on for a blurred depth of field. Lets see what she'll have to say about that  >:(
