Curry night

Hi all
This is my first post... Looking for some advice if possible.
Having friends over in a couple of weeks and want to do a sort of 'curry night' I've done one before with my husband- he did the curry and I did all the extras. This time he is doing lunch and me the whole dinner, but I want to do a really nice fairly mild bhuna level chicken curry to go with all the extras like Dahl, pakora etc. Problem is...I'm veggie, so on the hunt for a tried and tested chicken curry... I'm thinking along the lines of a bhuna. My husband can taste for me and I will adapt a meat free version for myself and I'll probably do a trial run or 5 -haha.
Also open to any suggestions for the whole night, sauces, any extras or good Dahl recipes etc? I'm going to go on a long hunt round the site but I would appreciate any suggestions for my circumstance (approx 10-15 guests). Should I cook the night before or on the day? I've only got an electric hob, a fairly well stocked cupboard of spices, also interested in any good base gravy recipes if you think this is necessary.
Thanks so much
