I too would like to ask Stew to re-admit Chris.  Chris and I may have had our differences from time to time, but nonetheless his videos were helpful and informative and he was an asset to the forum.  And if he isn't re-admitted, how will we ever learn which of us (if any) was correct in identifying the "secret" in the naan recipe ?!

I can't see Chris coming back even if he was asked to.
And I think a certain person would still be having a go at him if he did come back, So what's the point.

Firstly the rice.
I dont think Chris shouldve uploaded this video, or at least the title shouldve been, How NOT to make pilau rice.  ;)
The rice had too much water and was stodgy. Not very good promotion for the TA.

And off topic... CA
I was really pissed off and disappointed when he started the new forum. If there was one cr0 member that i never thought would do such a thing it was CA.
He hated RCR and everything about it when that forum was started. Especially the way contributing members were poached! And he's done the exact same thing he was so against!!  ::) Underhand and Hypocritical or what!
I was PM'd in the first week to join,(i refused) no doubt from one of CA's many accounts.
There have been a few members on here with very old accs and a couple of posts that seemed to pop out of nowhere in praise of CA's recipes whenever he was getting some stick.  ;) Coincidence??
Same with the PM i received to defect, very suspicious.... ;)

Perhaps not.  After all, tomorrow is 30th, the eagerly anticipated Day of Revelations; if the long-awaited e-book appears on schedule, then they-who-doubt-whether-it-will-ever appear will have their doubts dispelled and may welcome Chris back with open arms, a sincere apology and a warm hug ...

It would seem that if you are not a C A fanboi, you are not welcome in the first place.  I know of two people who registered on the site, and their registrations were cancelled (without notification) within a day of their joining.

Here is the latest pm from CA

Safe to say he will be deleting me shortly, he is either snooping about or has others reporting back
Hi Gazman,

I would very much appreciate it if you would please discuss with me any concerns you may have, with my previous message, rather than air them, in public, on another forum (you might care to read and note the forum rules, which will be enforced).

We both know (and by your own posted admission on cr0) that you have baited Chris on cr0. As I stated, in my previous message to you, I do not intend for that to continue here (adding a "weirdo" emoticon, to your first post asking about Chris's ebook, is not a good start).

As I stated in my previous message, personal attacks will not be tolerated on this forum (again, please read and note the forum rules, which will be enforced).

I want participative, constructive and supportive forum members that are willing to help develop this forum, and share their knowledge and experiences, for the benefit of all. If you feel that you can't meet that requirement, then you are free to leave this forum to those that feel they can.

I trust you are willing to help develop and grow this forum, in a constructive way, accordingly.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss my reasoning further.

Cheers,Regards

Well, that is splendid news.  I can only think that he has seen the light, sincerely repented for all the ad hominem attacks he launched on this forum, and is determined to be a model poster in his new (rather lonely) home.  I just feel it is a great shame he could not have seen the light while he was here, rather than resorting to personal abuse as he so often did :

So basically you don't know your arse from your elbow then....but your sure about it...nothing new there then  ;)

Perhaps let someone who knows answer the perfectly valid question SnS; you'll only end up embarrassing yourself again  ::)

It isn't a spotless video, I agree with you there Frank. I asked about it and he said "This is a new pan that the chef foysel (sam's colleague) wasn't particularly used to" Someone else replied that he made the recipe and that it looked stodgy but after 15mins seating in the pan the rice was separating nicely. Who knows what exactly went wrong, though.

Has CA re-posted (in the new forum) any of the recipes he posted on here? If so is he not breaching the copyright rules of this forum. I seem to recall him arguing assertively against breaching copyright.

Ha ha he didn't PM me asking me to join  :P.

I think that was because I challenged him for being out of order with other members and he absolutely hated it and ended up creating a whole new thread to challenge my challenging  ::).

Suffice to say I won't be joining the new forum.
