But the dish I just can not cope with is a BIR Murghi Masala or similar, which invariably consists of a CTM with keema mince and a boiled egg. Yuk!
I can't stand butter chicken.
This is very odd. I thought I was a fussy s@d, very set in my ways (particularly when it comes to food), yet both of those dishes I have enjoyed. With BIR murgh-e-mussalam, I do find it essential to ask if it is made with fresh chicken or chicken tikka, and if I am told the latter I will not order it, but made with fresh chicken it is definitely one of my favourites (now sadly hard to find). Butter chicken I have always turned down in the UK, for no good reason other than the fact that the description did not appeal. However, when I ordered it in a cheap Indian cafe in Abu Dhabi it was absolutely superb (as was the mutton masala, but that is irrelevant in this thread). As to my own hates, CTM is head-and-shoulders above the rest, followed by anything with fruit and most things based on chicken tikka rather than fresh chicken.
