Considering the amount of money and effort Stew "Admin" and others have put into this site. Is it fair to allow members to promote there own commercial business.

Stew appears to actively encourage it - presumably as a way to grow the site. It's his site so what we say really has no bearing.

I have no problem with it provided it is restricted to the product reviews section of the forum and does not spill out into the other popular discussion groups where it antagonises members who give up their own time and effort not for profit.
