It all looks very nice indeed, Jamie! :)

Pity about not being able to come on to the forum as it's all still very lively and there's always something new on the go. At least your lack of cooking time has neither blunted your your culinary skills nor your appetite for curry.

Could you tell me if this is Curryhells NIS please Jamie, and is the original the vindaloo one that my searches have come up with.

Looks right up my street, is there a link please?

Well done Jamie.  I can see you haven't lost your touch ;)  Like yourself haven't had much time of late to contribute to the site or do that much cooking either.  I've  a few bits to post but finding the time at the moment is difficult  :(

TT, i suspect Jamie used my original recipe (as Jamie has put "original recipe" in brackets) for the North Indian Special which has an improved recipe on page 8 .  It's posted here:
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5948.70

The alternative is the Elaichi NIS which is here
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,8702.0.html

Both dishes are similar, one trying to replicate the dish from my favourite BIR.  The other from my local  favourite TA.  The Elaichi NIS is virtually spot on to the TA version.  I need to revisit the first recipe and hone it a little more to get it closer ::)

If you're  a Taz base fan, then Stephen Lindsay has created a version to use with the base, here:
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,7831.0.html

Whichever one you try, i'm sure you'll enjoy.  Bengali Bob has just posted some terrific pics of his NIS in the 2nd secret recipe group test here:
