Here's a very similar device, but made out of ceramic material rather than costly and luxuriously chrome plated, precision-shaped steel:

It costs only USD93 as well, apparently.

Don't like the look of that shiny flying saucer gizmo and for that price you can buy a tandoori oven.

Totally agree with comments from George and spicey re electric hobs. I had a lovely eight burner gas hob in my marital home. I had a lovely five burner gas hob when I subsequently bought a home with my partner. Now that I'm on my own I live in rented accommodation and have to make do with the cooker that's there - electric hob :(.

I think you just have to adapt and after a bit of messing about I arrived at something that was manageable and I am now used to it. I have one burner on full heat and another on med-low heat and I just move my wok from one to the other. Not every economical but the best I can manage. It hasn't effected the quality of my curries at all. Where there's a will there's a way.

Stephen is it a flat hob, if so, just pull the pan halfway of the ring until it cools to the required temperature.  ;)

I swear blind my ceramic hob gets hotter than the gas I used to use.

As with other appliances, you are probably entitled to send it back if it doesn't meet the claims

Anyone with 370 to spare, in case it does work as expected? :-)

Axe no it's not unfortunately - it's pretty ancient with only three rings working!
