Last Nights Tea for Me and Wife
« on: February 02, 2013, 11:33 PM »
Had a go at Elaichi North Indian Special for me and Veg Rogoan Josh for wife. The NIS was very nice (fewer chillis cos didnt want it really hot), if anything a little sweet maybe due to the tamarind sauce. Rogon josh was also very good. Did double portions to use up the defrosted base. I snook in the fridge tonight and had a taste of it after 24 hours - both tasted really, really good - made me feel hungry even though I'd had my tea! Tomorrows tea sorted!

You've certainly done both dishes justice there Meggeth.  I'm now in the mood for my birthday NIS at my local BIR  :P ;D
As for the sweetness of the dish, you may find that the red peppers added to that a little.  I now use a level dessertspoon of Tamarina rather than a rounded one.  Thanks for trying the recipe and making such a fine job of it  ;)
