Dinner Party
« on: August 29, 2006, 01:20 PM »
Hi Everyone, I have been so inspired by my results and great feedback from people i have tested the food on that I have organised a curry nite on Saturday for a total of eight people.

I will probably stick to my tried and tested recipes from the site but wondered if anybody could offer any good tips for preparing and serving on the day and night. How to keep stuff warm and looking and tasting great etc?

Starters  Pakora, Shish Kebab, Papadoms and sauces Spiced Onion's

Main   CTM, Chicken/lamb Madras, Piluo Rice Chapatis

Sweet  ????

Panpot,

Good luck with your dinner party, make sure you get plenty of pics and load them on the site.

Make sure you get plenty of Cobra Beer  ;D or a decent wine to go with spicy food.

It's always fun to have Indian music playing in the background.  You can get CDs or tapes at your local library.
Your menu sounds great.  Do you need a taster? ;)

Good luck!

Thanks guys for the encouragement and for the music idea. I would look to down load from ITunes does anybody have any favourite Cd's that I can look for, I will certainly be on the case with Ashes choice.

Cheers

Hi Graeme and everyone else I have been away so have taken too long to post the result sorry. the food was just the best I have ever done thanks to this amazing site and all who inspire me here.

Menu,

Pakora and Onion Bhaji with yoghurt and tomato based sauces, Papadoms and Spiced onions.

Chicken Madras, Chicken Ticka Masala, Pilou Rice and Chapatis.

Washed down with plenty of Lager for the lads and Rose and White Wine for the ladies.

So big thanks to the cast of thousands but in particular.

Curry King (Pakora). Stephenperry (Tomatoe based Sauce) Shish Mahal Glasgow (Onion Bhajis and yoghurt's based sauce, Spiced onions and Chapatis), Pete (pilou Rice), Fat Les (Chicken Ticka masala) and Last but by no means least Darhphall (Base Sauce and Chicken Madras).

I took photos but not sure how to load them here. will have a go later.

Loving it

Panpot
