jb's Garlic Chilli Chicken with Malai Chicken Tikka

Yesterday, I made jb's Garlic Chilli Chicken curry using the Malai Chicken Tikka recipe from UF's recent Tandoori Mixed Kebab post and my own homemade garlic pickle. It was a lip-smacking combination! The mild, yet tasty chicken tikka perfectly matched the hot, garlicky curry and the hot, slightly-sweet garlic pickle added to the combination. All in all, very nice, and something I'll be making again and again.

Nice one Naga.  Got my mouth watering like so many of the recent posts.  Glad the pickle worked out ok.  I've got a couple of jars of Ferns in the cupboard which is well aged and could probably do justice to this dish.  Malai tikka is on the radar.

How you finding your pickle compared to a shop bought one?

Don't know, mate - I've never bought garlic pickle! But this particular recipe has a very moreish combination of caramel-like sweetness balancing out a good chilli heat and, of course, a huge garlic hit. It worked very well in jb's recipe.
