I suppose, if you have a surplus of green chillis you could make your own.
But BIR buy it in, whenever you get the pickle tray and poppadoms in a good restaurant, historically the pickles will be Pataks.
Usually the combo is Chilli pickle, Lime pickle, Sweet Mango chutney, along with the Onion salad.
Some use Mixed Pickle, which is my favourite and comes in bulk containers.
At home these keep for ever in the fridge, never known any of them going off.
