This is "Garlic Chicken" which is served in my fave local.

Don't have a recipe although at the moment I seem to have it every week in my local.They do just call it Garlic chicken(another local calls it North Indian Garlic Chicken for some reason).Doesn't seem over garlickey if that makes sense but just has a real smokey distinct taste,although my girlfriend always moans when I eat it after a few pints!!! Just wish I could see them make it.....

Yes it means Garlic  .
When you say Smokey well none of my locals Curries smell Smokey but the dishes do have a marvelous savory smell (which is probably construed as being Smokey by some).
The Lasan Chicken served by my local BIR seems to be a low tomato content (either puree or passata )
Madras. It is a very nice dish & i highly recommend.
