Under the SMF it is possible to add other users to your own 'Buddy List'.

You would need to click into your own forum profile to see who you may have added!

I would imaging that you (likely unknowingly) added a forum member into your own 'buddy' / 'Friend' list.

Click on Profile / Summary / Buddies/Ignore List and you can see who you added.
