Yesterday being the warmest day of 2012 to date (18C), I decided to wash my wife's and my winter dressing gowns and switch to my Chinese silk d/g (complete with dragon) to celebrate the arrival of spring.  Having last night prepared my stage-1 curry sauce, I then set out this morning to start on stage-2, which would involve liquidising stage-1 and then adding the tomatoes, paprika, turmeric, etc.  To gain easy access to the Kenwood, I decided to move the recycled oil pot out of the way, and that was where the trouble started ...

As you will undoubtedly know, Chinese dressing gowns have very voluminous sleeves, and unbeknownst to me, my sleeve decided to fall into the recycled oil.  It was only after an interval of several minutes that I suddenly discovered that there was bright red, highly staining, recycled oil all over the kitchen and working surfaces.  And when I discovered its source, I also found about 50ml still clinging firmly to my sleeve :-(

Never again : Chinese dressing gowns and BIR cuisine don't mix; all I can say is "thank God for Dettox Mould and Mildew spray", which (with any luck) will bleach all the white cupboard doors (etc) before SWMBO returns home this evening !

Ah, Confucius he nearly right : had it not been for the wonders of Dettox M&M, I would most certainly have received a right royal Vietnamese [1] dressing down !

What a great combination!!! Good food i bet

My one is  Thai and for a little thing she can certainly boil over at times!!!!!! but never complains about the curry mess that i try to clean up - she always follows on to make sure its clean - especially if ive cooked in the house kitchen - that seems to be her room, which im grateful for!! Thats NOT chauvinistic by the way.

Asian women who have NOT been bombarded to the western womans way of thinking - DO NOT  think twice about their roll in a family they just get on and do it - brilliant!!
