OK I will be going with CA's Base I think as reading about it crops up a lot and his excellent thread has some nice pictures to compare mine with :)

Anyone recommend a nice curry to use it in?

Hi,

CA has posted main dish recipes under the relevant sections to go with his base. Check out the madras, vindaloo, korma, jalfrezi, ceylon, dhansak etc. headings for BIR main dishes and you will see these recipes from CA.
