i bought my pan from asda. it is 8 inch base( 9"diameter acrossthe top) stainless steel frying pan it is the perfect size and it only cost ?3.97 and it has a hollowed metal handle and it is quite easy to use as it is light and has a good feel to it.although i am cooking on an electric hob

 Yellowfinger - not sure if that one has a black teflon coating inside  - hard to tell from the picture.

It's available with or without, see the drop down box to the right of the picture.

I tried those dropdowns but it didn't change the picture - now that I've read the actual descriptions, this makes sense now.

I think I'll head off to sunny Glasgow city centre tomorrow to check these out.

I don't use a frying pan !! 
I use a large pot( 12" dia 10" high etc..) so i can cook as high as i like without it spitting all over my wifes lovely White Kitchen.
But yes i do still tend to get one or to spots on the Tiles at the back of the GASP !! Electric Hob ( Turbo Charged thing were the Rings heat up instantly ). ;D

Snap Woodpecker!  Thats the exact same pan that I have and is great value and does the job extremely well as it has higher sides than a normal frying pan.  I thoroughly recommend this pan to anyone ?3.97 Asda.

Hey Woodpecker - my wife just arrived in with one of these from Asda. Fansastic for the money !!

I'll see how I get on with this one.  Looks perfect for scraping out the dregs with the chef spoon.
