I've just been working away in London and I was telling the bloke I was away with that I had got some tickets for the Foo Fighters. Whats that?, he said. The Foo Fighters said me. Never heard of them he said.  :-\ :-\

I've seen them live on TV at one or more festivals, and they never impressed me much. I may be missing out. Which two or three tracks would you recommend listening to, for anyone who wants to give the Foo Fighters a fair chance?

You need to like big vocals and big guitar sound for the foo fighters..and dave grohl is a legend.

My fav 4 in no particular order:

Hi Everyone, long time no post...

Here are some superb IMHO Foo Fighters tracks. In order of more gentle to full rock to give anyone interested an idea of the wide spectrum of styles they play. It is very hard to choose just three or four tracks!

Please listen to these with some decent speakers and not just the little ones in your laptop!

Many thanks for these suggested tracks/videos, and to bamble1976 for his suggestions, too. I will download them all and hope to give them a fair chance - multiple plays. I did watch/listen to half of the last video and I still "don't get it". Other bands - a bit similar to Foo Fighters perhaps - where I can say I like at least 3 or 4 tracks include: Weezer, Metallica, Greenday and Linkin Park.

Too many good tracks by the Foo Fighters for me to pick 4 but as for the multi talented Dave Grohl, this is probably one of my favourite drumming tracks.

I'm listening to the (moderated) traffic that is belting up and down my little road at silly O'clock on a Saturday morning.

No shooting today, just a well earned lie-in and it sounds like someone has diverted the M25 past my window.
