New Neff Electric Oven

Took delivery of my new oven today, as my old one was well past it's 'use by' date - the seals were buggered, the grill was temperamental and the fan had developed an annoying squeak.

New one fitted and connected and good to go.

Can't wait to get some tikka in there (if Mrs G will let me)  :)

A cautionary tale.  Some (many) years ago, a new mill was delivered to Molins, St Mary Cray.  The foreman stated that /no-one/ but he was to use it until he had thoroughly tested it.  On the very first day, he succeeded in milling right into the bed.

I therefore /strongly/ recommend that Mrs Garp be invited to test-launch the new oven, and that Garp Snr put nothing near it until herself has managed to mark it in some way ...

I am totally in agreement, Phil. Will now leave it until it has been 'marked' by my good lady. I'm hoping it's not the same way a cat marks it's territory.
