Tandoori Dishes / Re: CA's Simple Chicken Tikka Masala

Made this tonight and was deffo a winner thanks CA .. we all enjoyed it!

I followed the recipe with the addition of a tsp of mint sauce and a splash of lemon juice (personal regional preference) during the cooking process and am very happy with the result.

CA's simple base sauce was used with this.

Hi guys .. I'm Mark from Leicester, east midlands.

I have been looking for the true BIR taste for many years now and in the past I have failed oh so miserably, I have bought cook books and curry kits but they have never come close ... but since I have found this site I have been getting results, good results.

I have already cooked up a fantastic lamb bhuna (my fav) with CA's base and CK's recipe, and oh my gosh!! it was perfect for me and true tasting to my fav restaurant in Radcliffe-On-Trent Nottingham called Yaardgaar ... but I'm sure the best is yet to come from all of the good bases and recipies I am yet to try out. I'm so glad I found you CRO!

A big thankyou from me CA, I followed your recipe to a T and it turned out great. I have just cooked my first ever BIR curry with it (CK's Lamb Bhuna) and it has turned out absolutely perfect in every aspect.

I did carry on simmering the base after the blend for approx 30-45 mins, which gave me a slightly thicker base but its perfect for my taste as my fav local TA makes there curries slightly on the thick side which I prefer.

Thankyou so much for this recipe CA.

Many thanks for this recipe CK ... the result was an absolute revelation to me, I am gobsmacked! A big thankyou also to CA for his curry base recipe which I used for this curry which I think is a perfect combo.

No more expensive TA's for me.

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Rajah or Natco

Lubna have a website but it seems they only supply in wholesale quantities and by the looks of it they only have a handful of spices available. I searched for cumin and coriander powder and it came up with no results ... maybe they are new to the web? and will update it as they go over time? I will be keeping my eyes peeled anyhow.

My local store in Leicester supplies Rajah and Pearl products which I use and I'm very happy with and beleive my local TA's use, but obviously the quality of the curry is down to many factors not just the brand of spices used.
