What brand is this -Anglo Indian' Mango Chutney- that you avoid.
Never seen Midas products in UK

Sweet Mango Chutney
For decades UK BIR commonly use Pataks 2.9kg jars
or 30kg drums, KTC or Balah brands are popular.

One of my favs is Geetas premium with Kalonji seeds
Too expensive for BIR use ;D ;D

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Tom Puree v Blended Plum Toms

If you wizz up a tin of tomatoes you get pink puree which needs passing through a sieve.
Why you would want your puree to taste of Tandoori powder, only you know.

Italian Passata is Ideal for curries, but I still  thin with water.
M&S Italian Tomato Puree is extremely good for curries, thinned 2 to 1 with water.
When I want to use the tinned tomato flesh in BIR/italian sauces, I deseed by hand

Hi Folks
can anyone advise, i am trying to view all posts as they are created (by date regardless of topic), and then scroll through them in page fashion, Is this possible, if so how can it be done.

Regards Paprika.

To clarify-at present i can only see the last 30 posts, in other forums when you get to the bottom of the posts you have the option of seeing further posts by the selection of page numbers, can it be done here

No, not a Forum feature

The Admin would have to modify the function list, in SMF - Simple Machines.

Individual members posts ARE indexed from day one, which is a very good feature.

Must have plenty of time on your hands! If you want this mod. :D ;D

Wow, some awesome looking curries there ChewyTikka, are there any recipes posted for the Dansak and Pathia?

PIP
Rather than search/try and find my old recipes on here!

Just take a look at my new YouTube channel,
Where there are quite a few real time restaurant recipes,
including restaurant versions of  Dhansak and Pathia.

Looks really good and great fun B
How much was the final cost of this 19.05Kw burner
and how stable are the tripod legs, as its my only reservation
as people allways walk into tripods.

If you cook and use a proper Wok i.e. (Carbon Steel), mine are London Woks
and the patina has built up over use, just hot water and a light scrub
cleans it perfectly, dry it , lightly oil it up and back on the hob ready for another dish.
This is the correct way to maintain your Wok. I do the same for my Black Iron fry pan,
my Indian Karahis and even my Pressed steel original Brummy Balti pan.

This Youtuber does a good 101 on Wok maintenance
