Maybe a blessing in disguise though - take the opportunity to get a gas hob?

He seems to manage well with the halogen going off some of the curry pictures he's posted.  ;D ;D

But it is a bummer though.  :(

If it was a restaurant I'd only been to once I wouldn't probably go back but if its one i've been to a few times and rated I would definitely have a word with the owner/manager. I'm sure he would value your personal feedback as a regular bearing in mind that most people nowadays would just grind the axe on Tripadvisor.

Why do I need to? If you and others think I'm full of (moderated) why the interest?

In the meantime, please refrain from using 4 letter words. It's against forum rules. Nothing justifies the use of bad language, whatever people may think about your long-promised book. ......................

Whilst I usually don't want to get drawn into pointless arguments, I think being pulled for using the word sh$t is a bit harsh and in the world of equality,

and even worse

Can we not just wait patiently instead of turning a thread into a slanging match every time he posts a video.

I'm told there is a top-secret, NATO-approved, camouflage model, supplied only to Our Boys in Iraq [tm] and similar hostile locations; you'll never see one advertised, but if you know any NAAFI quartermasters, ask if they have any surplus Device, Universal, Kitchen staff for the use of, NATO code KNW-15721-005009-1962(x).  The (x) is important; it indicates the camouflage model.

Trouble is Phil, I've already used that rouse to dodge the housework.  ::)

Keep an eye on Gumtree and similar sites.  I picked up a 2nd-hand but perfect Kenwood Major with /all/ attachments (mincer, liquidiser, grater, can opener, ...) for less than GBP 70 to replace my late mother's Chef when it died; now I simply cannot imagine life without one.

Just to clarify my position, in less than 9 months I'll not be working but my missus will be for quite a few years yet. I don't have a Kenwood Chef but seeing Chris's in action makes me a bit angry with myself as I let my sister take my deceased mother's (mincing attachment included) along with a load of other gadgets. I'm sure my mother single handily supported Lakeland Plastics for the first few years of their existence buying kitchen gadgets for problems you didn't even realise you had.

Keep the videos coming Chris

What is is that you don't like about the CA base?

I don't think he mention that, I think he just wants to try a different base. I've tried Dips, base followed by 2 batches of CA's. Then i've just finished BB1's glasgow base and am going to have a go at Chewy's base next.
