An unusual herb to add to curry Jerry.
I did find by accident many years ago that tarragon and fresh chillies make a great combination, like onions and parsley. A chemical reaction perhaps?

Another herb which i always see for sale in indian grocers is dill. Again something ive never used in a curry or heard of until i watched Madhur Jaffrey use it in rice.

Lets Talk Curry / Re: Vacuum Marinators
May 19, 2012, 11:59 AM
Never heard of them NJ. Just had a look on youtube and i can see a vacuum/tumbler doing the job well, but doubt it very much with only the vacuum. Unless you marinate for a long time..which defeats the purpose.  ;)

I just copied and pasted from youtube.
Your link looks like its doubled up. Maybe thats why it didn't embed?
I've noticed in the past that when i've tried to post a vid thats in my favourites etc, it wont embed. So i have to sign out and and go back to the video, then copy the address whilst logged out.

p.s. nice idea with the foil  ;)

Hi Les,
I've tried many homemade chilli pickles from various Indian friends from the UK and India.
I'd say most of them tasted pretty similar. Even the jar of naga pickle i bought recently tasted like any ordinary homemade chilli pickle.
I would say just pick any recipe from the net or youtube, i'm sure you'd be happy with it.
The ex girlfriends family that i got the Tomato Rice recipe from would always have a jar of chillies on the dinner table.
They would add fresh chillies to malt vinegar and leave for 2-3 weeks before eating with every meal.
I actually prefer chutney to pickle  :)
I made this version for my last big party but doubled the amount of chillies  :P (was too hot for most)
It's got a nice tang from the pomegranate seeds which can get stuck in your teeth if you're not careful.  ;)

Green Chutney (Mint and Coriander)

Cheers, Frank.

Just noticed this new range in macro.

Pataks and Knorr ?Pataks and Knorr ?

I know we tend to knock knorr and the like here in the uk but if you go to germany or denmark for example, you'll find complete isles in the supermarkets dedicated to knorr packet mixes.
Some of which are pretty good and better than we have here.
