Hi All
This may be an impossible mission, But worth a shot,
When I was a wee lad living in Scotland there was an Indian guy lived in our village and he used to make this garlic chutney/pickle, It was whole garlic cloves in a curry type of sauce, I think it had onions in it as well, It keeped for months, So I would think It also had vinagar in the mix somewhere, Has anybody come across this type of chutney before, or better still know of a recipe for it,
Thanks for looking

Did you know the curry base recipe used in this video is in our curry base section, and a fine base it is, the only one i use, it's the old style, Don't like modern curry bases, taste too much like veg soup to me

I've just made today a Chicken Korma for my daughter who now won't eat it from a BIR anymore as she say's none of them can make it the same...

I always use Coconut Milk Powder for mine, and I add 1 tsp of Turmeric powder to make it yellow as all Korma's in the South of England are yellow and I've never seen down here any sight of Sultana's or Cashew Nuts, as previously stated I think it must be a regional thing, but would like to hear from anyone in the south who has had Korma down here and found such ingredients in their dish :)

I'm with you on this one my friend, I live in the South West and never seen sultanas or cashews in Korma

hotstuff,

any brand of lemon dressing. i use KTC down to what the shop stocks.

it is getting to the finer point of "curry" and not an essential but the dressing is quite different to lemon juice. i used to use lemon juice and would not go back.

the lemon dressing is not as harsh. from the ingredients its a watered down version with added sugar and some citric acid giving a nice liveliness. i can drink a spoon of dressing but not the otherway round.

Cheers Jerry,
Think I will try both and see which one floats my boat ;D
