I've just watched this.
Quite an interesting looking dish.
The comments are also quite revealing.

An interesting looking dish. The comments are more interesting though.  Other than a few posts or should i say comments (very few in fact) and coming on here to peddle his e-book i can't remember Julian contributing to this site or is my memory failing me???

"Thanks Mick for? that glad you are enjoying the videos.
I know what you mean about those forums, I don't bother with them."

As for not bothering with them, funnily enough he logs on quite regularly, this very morning in fact ::)

I enjoyed the video
I love watching these chefs weave their magic

It's truly amazing that videos like this are now available to watch
When CR0 first started there was nothing but our badly documented demos
In one of my first reports, I remember being amazed at a gas ring having two concentric circles of heat
How green I was

Thank you so much to Curry Barking Mad, for all his video work
You can watch these videos again and again, noticing new things each time
and of course thanks to Julian
This video is a cracker
I notice the "seasoned" oil is used again
How much it effects things is controversial, but you just can't get away from that one, can you?

I make this with whipping cream - ie we cant get single here - its great for a change when you want a creamy flavoured curry and you can make it a little more spicy if required i even put in chopped green chillies nice if you like!

The comments urrrrm! he don't bother with the forum at all - but checks to see what the response is on the site - i know some who do that on other sites its a way to keep informed of what is happening - however it would be good to make a contribution now and then - might not feel he has to.......
As far as forums go there are many members who make comments about others work but NEVER post any recipes or pictures of their own - amazing that!!

As far as the video goes it is a good one and has the right edited ingredients on which is a help. As Julian says he has begged his recipes and tips etc from the chef in the video - its always good to learn from someone who knows!

best, Rich

well i have commented on that vid what a two faced (*&^%$%) here's my reply.

Thanks Julian for another great video!
Keep them coming! I have learnt so much from your videos.
I used to use both the RCR and CRO sites, but I don't use them anymore,
because those forums have become like a kids playground
with a handful of Bullies that think they no it all! Notice you don't
post on there anymore?

Balti  Pataks paste in the curry
I know we use them in marinades
Does any one else use them straight in to a curry wth success

Does anyone know who Mickleback72 might be?

I can't relate to his criticisms at all. Even if I include people who I've had differences of opinion with in the past, I wouldn't say there are any "know it all's" here so I strongly disagree with Mickleback72. By jumping in to sort of agree with him, I fear Julian risks falling out with a large part of his potential market, i.e. hundreds of active members of this forum and the other forum mentioned.

Julians efforts (books and videos) are potentially good but only if they produce breakthroughs or in any way raise the bar of recipes on here, previously. I somehow doubt that. It may be more like the reverse, where recipes from this site, helped Julian get his take-away started. Has anyone actually tasted any of the curry2go output yet? If it's deemed to be more tasty than most BIRs, I might sit up and take more notice. The second question would then be whether the recipes produce equally tasty results at home. Worst case is that it's just a money making venture, largely repeating what everyone already knows.
