Hi Everyone
After years of buying curries from restaurants and take away I finally wanted to be able to make those same ones in the comfort of my own home and the chance to experiment a little
I then stumbled upon this forum which looks the perfect thing for me.
So Hello Again and I hope to get interacting with the community and advance sorry for any stupid questions I may have!

Welcome kyon147 to CR0. As ELW says, you'll find all you need on here. No question is a stupid question, providing some silly sod doesn't give you a stupid answer
. Ask away mate, the majority of members on here are more than willing to help out if they can or suggest where you may find an answer. Unfortunately, we still don't have all the answers on here, but we are working on that ;D

Thanks for all the quick replies
My first few questions really are
Curry Gravy, Curry Sauce and Curry Base is that all the same thing but just different words?
What is BIR?
Thanks very much!

kyon welcome to CRO
Yes curry gravy, sauce and base are the same thing.
BIR is British Indian Restaurant - this site exists to replicate the kinds of dishes you have at your takeaway or sit-in and it distinguishes this type of Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi cookery (created for Western tastes) to the type of meals that are home cooked and dominate the majority of books on Indian cookery.

Thanks for the clarification.
I thought it meant something like that but just couldn't put my finger on it XD
I tried a recipe today that i found online (before i found this site) it must of been just the part that makes it a certain dish it didn't have any curry base. I thought it seemed odd but I tried a bit with rice and omg my god was it a very strong taste! I could see now that with a curry case it would of been lovely
shame to waste it though but all is the part of learning.
