Glasgow Rangers in administration

As a fan of Glasgow Rangers FC it saddens me to see the current state of my once proud club i.e currently in administration with the "threat" of going into liquidation.
Due to overspending, impending EBT cases with HMRC and mismanagement for a few years by previous owners, looking for glory days which were pie in the sky, this is how this proud INSTITUTION stands today.
Bearing in mind that current owner Craig Whyte appears to be somewhat of a charlatan/robbing/stealing/lying (delete as appropriate)
individual
, intent on taking as much as possible for so little financial input but for much financial gain.
140 years, yes. ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY years of proud tradition are looking like going down the swanney.
GOD BLESS RFC AND LONG MAY YOU CONTINUE

Hi PoC,
I'm also a proud Mancunian (I'm a red by the way) and to be fair mate, fellow Mancunians are doing a good job of destroying our great city, nevermind any Ger's fans (I refer to the recent riots)
I think it's shame that any football club ends up in administration, especially when their league can't really afford to lose them. However, what vexes me about the 'old firm' is all the sectarian shite.
As a kid, I would happily run around in my Celtic shirt, very aware of the United-Celtic relationship but not really knowing why that relationship existed. As I got older, my fondness for Celtic ended when I heard some of the vile chants (from both sides).
Fans follow football teams, fanatics follow pointless, nonsensical religious issues....!

Can understand your point ray but you will never get rid of the bigotry of the old-firm, Rangers have brought it upon themselves - Murray would spend 10 for every 5 Celtic spent, and how did he do this? By cheating the public purse, so good riddance, I have also heard from a very reliable source that liquidation is Defo coming for them - this is the same source that told me they were going into administration 5 days before it actually happened - whyte will disappear into the sunset with the 5 million from the jelavic sale and the 24 million he borrowed from the ticket company - him and Murray r both crooks

PoC...great first post ...and a warm welcome to cr0
Razor, a minority of rangers "fans" caused mayhem and for that i can only apologise.
Gaz..as far as Whyte goes, he's just been exposed as a liar and a conman, be interesting to see further developments. David Murray...phew, what can one say. Without him Scottish football would never have been resurrected and you might never have had the chance to see Di Canio, Larsson, Hartson, Sutton et al in the hoops. As far as the fiver for a tenner saying ..... just goes to show that things you say/do always leave the door open for coming back to bite you in the arse
Cheers
