Hi Tornado, and welcome to cr0.

As a Glaswegian, you may want to take a look at the Ashoka recipes posted by 'panpot'.  I'm sure that you'll find something there that with be familiar to your tastebuds.

All the very best,

Ray :)

fellow glaswegian we welcome you aboard the good ship CR0
lots of great recipes to try
seems a bit daunting at first but ...trial and error my friend.
As Razor said, there are Ashoka recipes here, but to to beginner may be a bit over complicated
try starting off with maybe Chewy's 3 Hour Base
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=5635.0
and maybe a nice madras from Chewy also
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=7563.0
both have great videos to help you along
Cheers

Bloody hell, there's a fair few Glaswegians on the forum when you think about it?  Now, that tells me one of two things, either 1) you have the best curries in the country or two 2), you have the best curries in the country but are too tight to pay for one :o...............ONLY JOKING ;D ;D ;D

Two of the most inspiration people in history hail from Glasgow and are my personal hero's

Sir Alexander Mathew Busby (well, Bellshill but near enough!)
Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson

Thanks everyone for the kind welcome .

Yes having sampled curry all over the U.K. , and although there
are  resturaunts out there - some of which are either very very good or
very very poor and everything inbetween , there is no doubt in my opinion
that the better curry shops in Glasgow are among the best .
