Have never used lemon dressing always lemon juice but I know there are some forum members who use dressing. Perhaps you could do a side by side experiment and see which you prefer?

Hi Rabatter,
I always use lemon dressing as I find pure lemon juice is just a tad too much for me. There are some members that don't use lemon in Madras whatsoever and vehemently defend that position but for me, there should be a 'tang' to a good Madras, which lemon dressing (and juice) will give you. Some members use tamarind to achieve the same result and one member includes a few drops of Worcestershire sauce (which I have adopted with good success).
Not much help I'm afraid but at least you can see some other options available.
