I posted that my Madras was 100% right a few months ago in my thread = http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=465.0 ( please excuse the mistakes read through the thread to make sure you have all the correct info, sorry peeps)  :)
In there you will find the Madras & yes its 100% correct & copies my favorite local Take-away/restaurant, & i`ll say this again their Madras is not just a toned down (heat wise) Vindalloo there is a subtle taste difference, i think they incorporate some authentic methods/recipes & they make a top Vindalloo,Tindalloo,Madras & Bombay alloo, some of their other dishes i would say are slightly above average.

I noticed that Darth's madras used basar mix. You may want to read this http://archive.thisisbradford.co.uk/2001/09/21/135378.html if you intend to use it too.

It does show that it is used by indian restaurants though, at least in Bradford.

I used the Bassar mix as an experiment you will all see that the 99.9% Vindalloo is initially made without it & was only used as an alternative curry Powder.
The Madras is also an experiment , i`ve made it with Curry Powder also.
Both dishes work well with either Curry Powder &/or Bassar mix so follow the recipes people with just Curry Powder if you are worried about using it.
