I forgot to mention, Tesco currently have 1L Organic Rapeseed Oil at GBP 2-85 : /much/ better value than the single-crop stuff at the ploughing match !

Been using the below mentioned rapeseed oil in a few of my currys with excellent results, all be it a bit on the warm side.

Cant recommend it enough, can be doubled up as a fiery dipping sauce as well.

I heard obn R4 that a lot of generic oil is palm oil.

It's expensive but I have recently being using cold pressed rapeseed oil. It's a beautiful golden colour and looks good for you! Makes a mean masala if you ask me.
