Hello from sunny Edinburgh ( who am I kidding)

I'm lying on my sofa with broken ribs hunting down a new base gravy recipe (there's dedication for you) and I've stumbled across your (and now also my) excellent forum. I've been creating Asian miracles for a number of years but I'm a bit of a lone wolf. None of my associates manage anything more than a simple soup reheat normally from a can if their wife opens it for them so there's not a lot of conferring going on with them. My family and friends and occasionally strangers (sometimes asked to cook for small parties) love my curries but the house sadly suffers from the aroma of eastern promise as it will again today. I've just ordered a new deep anodised kadai, dabba massala and tandoori pot from spices of India, any experience of this etailer and my choice of weapons would be most welcome ;D I'm off now to bribe my youngest daughter to chop veg as my ribs are killing me. Look forward to sharing my success and failures with you in the future. cheers

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear about your ribs. I broke a couple of mine a few years back and had a nasty cough at the time too. The combination of broken ribs and a cough is NOT good
With regard to the Spices Of India company, I don't think you will be disappointed. Myself and my friends have ordered plenty of things from them, including spices (obviously), pots, pans, tandoor skewers etc and never have any cause for complaint.
One item was damaged on one delivery, a quick email later and a day or 2 later a new replacement arrives. Very pleased with the service.
Anyway, don't forget to report back with some pictures if you make anything you are pleased with!
All the best

Hi LG,
Hope your ribs heal soon fella. I had two of my broke when I was boxing (long time ago now) and like SP, I also had a cough at the time, not good, not good at all.
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to sharing yours and our experiences.
All the very best,
Ray
