Hi
Did we ever come to an answer to this? As I need to fined a BIR that can do both. Now a trike sounds fun, not sure about the kilt though! Lol

Interesting talk about the Hilal.  My love for curry started with takeaways from the Hilal (Timperley) from a very early age.

I have to say the most incredible dish they do is the Chicken Madras.  If you try it you won't be disappointed IMO.

I moved to the South Warrington area 20 years ago, where there is another Hilal (exact same menu/recipes).
There was a third one near Wilmslow but I never went to that.
Sadly the Stockton Heath one closed a couple of years ago, now it is another Indian called Indish (not tried yet).

I'll start another thread to talk about Warrington TA/Restaurants.

Richard

One of the best Indian (Nepalese actually) restaurants in the Greater Manchester area is without doubt the Jai Kathmandu Palatine Road, Northenden.

I would also highly recommend the Swadesh in Bowdon and the Seven Spices , Cheadle Hulme (the latter guys ran the Gaylord in Spring Gardens, M/Cr).

Interestingly, talking to an Indian guy (customer) in the Jai Kathmandu in Northenden a week ago, he told me the excellent Seven Spices (owners were originally the Gaylord proprietors in Manchester) in Cheadle Hulme had closed down 3 months ago - probably due to the popularity of the Aamchi Mumbai and the Tiffin Room.
