Hi, born and bred in Birmingham, been hooked on curries ever since me and some pals spent part of our first pay packet in a curry house in Selly Oak.
Moved to Sheffield in '78 my passion for Indian food has continued although South York?s is not a hot bed for Indian cuisine Bradford and Rusholme, Manchester are not too far away.
My ambition is to create restaurant style curry at home.
Regards

Hi Gary,
Welcome to cr0. Well if it is restaurant style curries that your after, then I'm sure that you will come extremely close with what we have on here.
I'm not too far from you mate, just over the tops in Manchester. Rusholme has gone a bit down hill on the old curry front, although there are still some good ones left, just takes a bit longer to find them.
I'm guessing that your looking for that, 70's, 80's taste that we don't see too much of these day's?
Like I said, i think you will come very very close with what we have here, but many of us are still in search of that "taste" from the 80's.
Anyway, as they say in the theatre "break a leg"
Any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
