don't expect it to be plain sailing in switching to this higher (much) heat cooking. i thought it would be just the same as on my 2.5kw and 3.kw hob - it ain't. the cooking takes place as u'd expect - much quicker. there's the flames to get used to as well. i find i need more oil than i used to use (was 2 tbsp now 4 tbsp) - i think it actually disappears during the cooking (that's what the smoke is for me). i also find as long as i keep plenty of free water about (or oil depending which stage) then i don't burn.

just takes a bit of practise that's all - but real fun once your used to it.

make sure u have sum sort of marker on the thumbwheel so u know where u are on heat (paint or tippex)

best of luck

Emmanuel,

u need to create a new post in Curry Chat under the heading "Talk About Anything (off topic chat)" otherwise it ends up confusing the existing post's subject matter.

i think u need to be a bit more specific on what difference in taste u need
