I use a hand blender and it does take a little longer than a liquidiser, but that's easily offset by not having to pour it into a jug then pour it out again and having to do this a couple of times because it doesn't all fit into the liquidiser.

I would guess my hand blender taker 1-2 minutes to do a ten onion batch.

I've used liquidizers for this sort of thing before (soups etc) and I've sice found the hand blender quicker, easier and cleaner.

Hi all,

I agree with Dylan, my hand blender, a cheapy braun, that I've used for about 10 years, does a 10 onion batch in a couple of minutes.

cheers all,

Blondie

aha Darthy,

caught ya, you don't know the German for white, no, neither do I.

If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about read the previous couple of postings in this thread.

OK, enough about blenders you bunch of old women, let's get back to the food you'll be talking about knives and how sharp they should be next,

cheers all,

Blondie

Definately a good quality hand blender does the job perfectly for me.

I use a Braun  Multichef. Get the 500 or the new 600 watt job. Also comes with other bits that are useful.

I think Costo are doing it at a reasonable price at the moment.
